Syed is the founder and CEO of Data Precedes, a Toronto-based data and AI consulting firm that helps mid-market and public sector organizations modernize their data foundations and turn AI opportunities into practical, production-ready solutions. He is also the founder of AIFluently, a venture dedicated to closing the AI literacy gap for students, professionals, and executives.
Syed is a Certified Chief Data and AI Officer from Carnegie Mellon University and holds an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, where he also serves on the Advisory Board for the Master of Management Analytics program.
With more than two decades of experience across multiple industries and geographies, Syed has held several senior leadership roles in data and analytics, including serving as Accenture’s Teradata Practice Lead for Canada.
